Cookie Policy
Last updated: 20 May 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Handle Technologies Ltd ("Company," "we," "us," and "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website at https://replicatelabs.ai ("Website"). It explains what these technologies are, why we use them, and how you can control them.
In plain English: the Website itself sets almost nothing. The only non-essential cookies we use (website analytics, a B2B visitor lookup, and an affiliate-attribution cookie that credits the partner who sent you here) do not load at all until you agree to them. If you would rather they didn't, choose "Necessary only" and nothing further is set.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small data files placed on your device when you visit a website. Some sites also use related technologies (such as localStorage, a small store inside your browser, and third-party scripts) to remember preferences or measure traffic. Where this policy says "cookies" it means cookies and those similar technologies together.
Cookies set by the website you are visiting are called "first-party" cookies. Cookies or scripts set by another company through that site are called "third-party". We tell you which is which below.
How our site is built
Knowing how the Website is built makes the rest of this policy easier to follow.
- The Website is a static site (built with Astro) served from Google Firebase Hosting. Static pages do not set login or session cookies.
- The contact form and the "talk to a coach" features call lightweight Google Cloud Functions in the background. These process your request but do not set tracking cookies on this Website.
- The only non-essential cookies the Website sets (Google Analytics, RB2B, and an affiliate-attribution cookie) are described below, and are all gated behind your consent.
The cookies and trackers we use
Strictly necessary
These are required for the Website to remember your cookie choice. They are set regardless of consent because, without them, we could not honour a "Necessary only" decision. They store no personal data and are not used for analytics or advertising.
| Name | rl_cookie_consent |
|---|---|
| Purpose | Remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies, so the consent banner is not shown again on every visit. |
| Provider | replicatelabs.ai (first-party) |
| Type | Browser localStorage entry |
| Expires | Persists until you clear your browser storage |
Analytics: consent required
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors find and use the Website. For example, which pages are read and how people move between them. This is aggregate, statistical use; we do not use it to identify you by name. GA4 does not load and sets no cookies unless you select "Accept cookies" on the consent banner.
| Name | _ga, _ga_# |
|---|---|
| Purpose | Distinguish individual visitors and sessions so we can calculate visits, sessions, and page usage in aggregate. |
| Provider | .replicatelabs.ai (set by Google Analytics) |
| Service | Google Analytics (View service privacy policy) |
| Type | HTTP cookie |
| Expires | Up to 2 years |
| Loads | Only after you accept analytics cookies |
B2B visitor analytics: consent required
We use RB2B, a B2B visitor-identification service. RB2B attempts to identify the company associated with a visit, so we can understand which kinds of businesses are interested in Replicate Labs. RB2B's underlying technology can also attempt to de-anonymise individual visitors. Because of this, RB2B is treated strictly as non-essential: it does not load and runs no script unless you select "Accept cookies" on the consent banner. If you select "Necessary only", RB2B never loads.
| Name | RB2B tracking script |
|---|---|
| Purpose | Identifies the company (and potentially the individual) associated with a website visit, for B2B marketing and analytics. |
| Provider | RB2B (b2bjsstore.s3.us-west-2.amazonaws.com) |
| Service | RB2B (View service privacy policy) |
| Type | Third-party script; may set cookies and use browser storage |
| Loads | Only after you accept analytics cookies |
Affiliate attribution: consent required
We run a small affiliate program. If you arrive at the Website through a partner's referral link (typically a short link of the form replicatelabs.ai/go/<code>), we use a first-party cookie to remember which partner sent you, so that if you later sign up for our product we can credit them. This cookie carries no personal data: it stores only the partner's opaque code, the time of your visit, and the page you first landed on. It is shared with our sister site at roster.replicatelabs.ai (where sign-up happens) so the credit can be applied at registration. Like analytics, it is treated as non-essential: nothing is written until you select "Accept cookies".
| Name | rl_aff |
|---|---|
| Purpose | Records which partner referred you, so that if you sign up we can credit them. Used for affiliate attribution only; not used for advertising, retargeting, or profiling. |
| Provider | .replicatelabs.ai (first-party; readable on roster.replicatelabs.ai) |
| Contents | Opaque partner code, timestamp, and the page you first landed on. No name, email, IP, or device identifier. |
| Type | HTTP cookie (SameSite=Lax, Secure) |
| Expires | 90 days |
| Loads | Only after you accept cookies, and only on visits that arrive through a partner link |
How can I control cookies?
You are in control. When you first visit the Website, a consent banner appears at the bottom of the screen with two choices:
- Accept cookies: Google Analytics, RB2B, and affiliate attribution are switched on for your visit.
- Necessary only: none of Google Analytics, RB2B, or the affiliate-attribution cookie ever loads. Only the strictly necessary
rl_cookie_consententry is kept, so we remember your choice.
Until you choose, no analytics, attribution, or other tracking runs at all. Google Analytics, RB2B, and the affiliate cookie all stay completely switched off while the banner is still showing.
Changing your mind. Your choice is stored in your browser's localStorage under the key rl_cookie_consent. To be shown the banner again and make a fresh choice, clear your browser's site data / storage for replicatelabs.ai (your browser's privacy or "cookies and site data" settings), then reload the page. If you have any difficulty, email us at legal@handle.tech and we will help.
Controlling cookies in your browser
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. How you do this varies by browser. Check your browser's help menu. The following cover the most common browsers:
You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all websites using Google's browser opt-out add-on.
Other tracking technologies
Cookies are not the only way to recognise visitors. The RB2B service described above relies on script-based techniques rather than traditional cookies alone. Because it is gated behind your consent, declining analytics cookies means none of these techniques run on your visit. The Website does not use web beacons or tracking pixels in its pages.
Targeted advertising
We do not serve third-party advertising on the Website, and we do not run advertising or retargeting cookies.
How often will you update this Cookie Policy?
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. For example, if we change the analytics tools we use, or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The date at the top of this policy shows when it was last updated. Please revisit it to stay informed.
