Allego vs Highspot (2026): learning-led enablement against a content-led AI suite

Allego vs Highspot from each vendor's own pages: learning, practice, content, deal features, pricing model and the Seismic merger.

The short answer

Allego and Highspot are both revenue enablement platforms that cover learning, content, coaching and buyer engagement. Allego started as an iPad app and leans toward readiness: courses, practice, scoring and reinforcement, with AI included in the price. Highspot leans toward one AI layer across content, plays, training and deal signals, and since August 2026 it has been part of Seismic.

Most comparisons of the two are written by one vendor against the other. This piece quotes each from its own site, read on 31 October 2026. It belongs to our guide to sales tools compared by the job they do.

Highspot after the Seismic merger

Seismic completed its merger with Highspot on 18 August 2026. The combined company operates under the Seismic name, says it serves 2,500 customers and 3.5 million users, and plans to invest over $100 million a year in research and development. Highspot's site now reads "Highspot is part of Seismic".

Allego's comparison page offers to "help cover remaining contract obligations" for teams moving from Seismic or Highspot. Seismic's release says customers of both companies "will benefit from continued investment and platform innovation". Neither statement tells a Highspot customer which features survive, which is the first of the questions below.

What each platform is built around

Allego's home page promises to "unify learning, coaching, content, and digital selling in one platform revenue teams love to use". Its pricing page says it "was founded as an iPad application over 10 years ago", and it still presents mobile as a strength, with "fully native web, iOS, and Android apps". The AI practice page is built around "realistic practice, instant scoring, and practical coaching, on any device and at any hour".

Highspot by Seismic calls itself "an AI platform for revenue execution that helps go-to-market teams turn intelligence into action". Its home page puts three AI features forward: a GTM Agent that "spots gaps in content, training, and plays", a Deal Agent that works "alongside sellers in every active deal", and AI Role Play.

Side by side

Every cell comes from the vendor's own pages.

Most rows match feature for feature. They part ways on what sits in the middle. Allego puts the rep's learning at the center, and Highspot puts the content and the signals around a deal there.

Where Allego fits better

Allego fits an enablement team whose first job is readiness at scale, especially for field sellers who practice on a phone between meetings. Its AI practice page says "mobile practice puts AI Role Play in every rep's pocket" and that scoring rubrics run "in 59 languages". Managers get "skills dashboards" showing "growth by rep, team, role, and region".

Allego also states its commercial terms in public. Its pricing page says: "We price per user per month, billed annually upfront", the typical contract is "3 years paid annually" with 2-year and 1-year options, and "Allego never charges extra for AI capabilities or customer support". That makes total cost easier to model before the first demo.

Where Highspot fits better

Highspot fits a team that wants content, plays, training and coaching run from one AI layer and measured together. Its pricing page lays out three packages that build on each other, ending in "Coach and reinforce", which adds "Highspot Agents with deal, meeting, and performance context".

Content depth is its other strength. Highspot's comparison page describes "governed approvals, version control, expiration policies", AutoDocs that generate documents "using CRM data and approved templates", and bi-directional CRM sync with Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics. For regulated industries with heavy content governance, Highspot's pages give more detail.

Deal features on both sides

Both vendors now point AI at the open opportunity. Allego's Deal Navigator pulls buyer engagement, timelines and AI recommendations into one view so reps can prioritize deals, AI Deal Alerts "flag at-risk deals only when your criteria are met", and AI Deal Expert Chat "builds meeting prep from CRM context and approved content". Its AI Deal Role Play lets a rep "rehearse your exact upcoming meeting".

Highspot's Deal Agent "brings together your calls, emails, and CRM data and buyer activity", helps reps "identify missing buying-group stakeholders", and lets them "address gaps in your sales methodology". It also "creates role plays from real deal context".

Both describe alerts, recommendations, prep material and a rehearsal. Neither page describes a rep talking the deal through with a coach that asks for the buyer's own words first and then plans the next conversation with them.

Questions to put to both vendors in writing

Five questions settle most of this decision. Ask both vendors to answer them in writing before you sign a multi-year contract.

  1. The roadmap after the merger (Highspot). Which Highspot features does Seismic commit to keeping, and for how long? Check whether your contract names the product or only "the platform".
  2. The buyout terms (Allego). Allego does not publish the terms of its Buyout Program. Ask what it covers, whether it pays in cash or in credit, and what notice your current contract requires.
  3. The price of the AI you will use. Allego says AI and support are included. Highspot lists three packages without figures. Ask each for a quote that names every AI feature on your list, per seat, for the full term.
  4. Your own scenario. Give both vendors the same roleplay scenario, taken from a live deal, and watch one of your reps run it. A scenario the vendor wrote for the demo tells you little about your buyers.
  5. The work on your side. Ask how many hours your enablement team spends in the first month, and which parts of the setup the vendor does for you.

Looking for a Highspot alternative

Teams looking at alternatives to Highspot usually have one of two reasons. Some are uneasy about the roadmap after the merger, covered in the first question above. Others use only part of the platform, and that part decides which alternative fits.

A team that mostly uses Highspot for governed content needs another content platform. A team that mostly uses it for training and practice will find Allego the closest swap on the pages we read, and Mindtickle vs Highspot covers another readiness option. The same split works for an Allego customer looking around: Allego vs Mindtickle compares the nearest readiness platform. If the gap is deals that stall after the training is done, a content or course platform will not close it, and that is the case in the next section.

When deals stall between calls

Some teams comparing Allego and Highspot have a problem that sits after the training and the content. Deals stall between calls because no manager has the time to work each one with the rep. That is the job our AI sales experts were built for, so read this section knowing who wrote it.

The rep talks the live deal through with Caty on a call, as they would with a manager, and types only when they cannot talk. Caty asks for the buyer's evidence, finds the gap in the team's own method (MEDDPICC, SPIN or the team's own playbook) and works out the next conversation with the rep. The platform runs roleplay too, against the stakeholder the rep is about to meet, and it remembers every deal. Managers get a read across the team from Bryce. Allego or Highspot keeps the training and the content. Our side-by-sides are with Allego and Highspot, and the category is laid out in the AI sales coaching guide.

Check the AI scores before you sign

Both platforms score practice sessions and real calls with AI. Have two managers rank ten of your recorded calls, ask the platform to score the same ten, and compare its order with theirs. Order matters more than closeness: in our call-scoring research, a scorer that never read the transcript reached an average error of 0.41 against 0.43 for the best real model.
