The short answer
Exec and Hyperbound both sell AI roleplay and call scoring to sales teams, and they diverge from there. Exec is a training platform for the whole company: roleplays, courses, programs, certifications and a network of human coaches, for sales, service, support and managers. Hyperbound is built for sales only, starting from practice against AI buyers and now reaching into live deals with real-call scoring, deal coaching and, since September 2026, a voice debrief on a single deal.
This piece quotes Exec and Hyperbound from their own sites, read on 31 October 2026. It belongs to our guide to sales tools compared by the job they do.
What each platform is built around
Exec calls itself "AI-native training for high-stakes conversations" and asks teams to "turn calls and playbooks into personalized practice" and "certify your sales, service, and support teams are ready for the moments that matter". It is modular: AI Roleplays, Courses, a Knowledge Hub, Programs, Call Scoring and Coaching, which Exec describes as "live 1:1 executive and sales manager coaching at scale, with vetted coaches". Its roleplays are "like a flight simulator for conversations".
Hyperbound's home page says "Know your buyers. Guide every seller." and offers to help reps "practice with realistic AI buyers, uncover what works in real calls". It sells two plans above a free tier: Practice, for "AI Sales Roleplays", custom scorecards and coaching; and Perform, which adds "Real Call Scoring", "Deal Coaching", "CRM Intelligence", "Conversation Intelligence" and "Bite-sized Roleplays".

Where Exec fits better
Exec fits an organization that wants one platform for training beyond the sales floor. Its home page says revenue teams get "sales readiness and conversation intelligence", while "everyone else gets leadership development, courses, and compliance certification". Programs can sequence 1:1 coaching, group sessions and AI learning, with automated reminders and certification tracking.
The human coach network is what sets Exec apart from AI-only vendors. Exec says it has "vetted over 20,000 applicants" and works with "less than 1.5%", that its network has "over 300 top-tier coaches", and that "our credit system ensures you only pay for completed sessions". Front-line sales managers can be coached by people "with direct sales leadership experience".
Exec is also open about price. Its pricing page lists a free plan, Starter at $20 per seat per month and Professional at $39 per seat per month, both billed annually with 5 and 15 seat minimums, and a custom Enterprise plan.
Where Hyperbound fits better
Hyperbound fits a sales team that wants practice and real-call work in one product built only for selling. Its Practice page lets reps "spin up a bot from any prospect's LinkedIn profile in one click", "simulate real buying committees with multiple stakeholders", and "practice your demo in real time with AI that understands what's on your screen". Hyperbound says building a first bot and scorecard "takes less than 10 minutes" and that customers can try a roleplay "with no credit card or sales call required".
Its Perform plan reaches into live deals. Deal Coaching is described as a way to "surface coaching opportunities directly within active deals", Live Call Coaching is "a quiet panel beside the meeting that surfaces the right play and the question they have not asked yet", and Bite-Sized Roleplays are generated "based on real deal signals". It also covers a lot of languages: the home page says "25+ languages" and the Practice page "30+ languages".
Hyperbound's Deal Debrief Agent
On 3 September 2026 Hyperbound launched the Deal Debrief Agent in private preview. Its launch post says: "Every rep gets a manager-grade debrief on every deal, and it executes the follow-up work before the conversation is over". The rep starts it from a call recording or the deal view and talks to it in the browser, on the phone or in a Slack huddle.
Hyperbound's help article describes it as "a live voice conversation about one specific deal" that "already knows the emails and notes on that deal, so it can push back on your read of the call". It names risks such as "single-threading, no economic buyer, stalled next steps", and can draft the follow-up email and update the CRM before the rep hangs up. Nothing comparable appears on the Exec pages read.
Where we fit
Hyperbound's debrief is aimed at the problem our AI sales experts work on: deals that nobody works with the rep because managers do not have the hours. We do that work too, on a call, on the rep's real deals. Read this section knowing who wrote it.
The rep brings the live deal to the expert on a call, the way they would bring it to a manager, and types only when they cannot talk. Where we differ is the standard the deal is held to. Each expert works in the team's own method. Keenan was built with A Sales Growth Company for Gap Selling and Val with ValueSelling Associates for the ValueSelling Framework®, and Caty works MEDDPICC deals or the team's own playbook. The expert asks for the buyer's evidence that method needs and plans the next conversation around the gap.
On a MEDDPICC deal, a rep tells Caty the economic buyer "is on board". Caty asks who said so, and on which call. If the answer is the champion, the deal has no economic buyer yet, and the call ends with the question the rep will ask the champion on Thursday: who signs, and can we meet them before the proposal goes?
It remembers every deal across conversations. When one meeting worries the rep, the expert builds a roleplay from the deal around the stakeholder they are about to meet, then debriefs it. On Monday, Bryce, the manager's coach, gives managers a team read: which deals need attention this week and which carry buyer evidence. How a session runs is in bring a deal, and our side-by-side is with Hyperbound.
Checking the scores in a trial
Both products score real calls against rubrics, so test the scoring on your own recordings in the trial. Hyperbound's own FAQ says it applies "your team's exact scoring criteria consistently across every call". To check, score the same call twice with nothing changed. In our call-scoring research, a single general-purpose model changed 15% to 17% of its scores between identical runs, against 1.7% for the checklist model in our final setup. Then have two managers rank ten calls and compare the product's order with theirs.

What is the Hyperbound Deal Debrief Agent? It is a voice agent, launched in private preview on 3 September 2026, that talks a rep through one deal after a call. Reps can take it in the browser, by phone or in Slack.
Does Exec have call scoring? Yes. Exec's Call Scoring connects to your call recorder and scores real conversations against fully customizable rubrics, then shows patterns across the team so managers know where to focus coaching. It sits alongside Exec's AI roleplays, courses and programs.
Is Exec or Hyperbound better for sales onboarding? Exec suits onboarding that combines courses, live sessions, AI roleplay and certification gates, and it covers non-sales teams too. Hyperbound suits sales onboarding built on heavy roleplay practice with custom buyer bots and scorecards. Both let you certify readiness before reps take live accounts.
