Quantified vs Hyperbound (2026): regulated field teams against B2B sales teams

Quantified vs Hyperbound from each vendor's own pages: who each is built for, roleplay, compliance, real-call scoring, deal coaching, pricing.

The short answer

Quantified and Hyperbound both sell AI roleplay, scoring and coaching, and they are built for different buyers. Quantified is built for life sciences and other regulated industries: reps practice against physician and payer personas on approved content, and every answer is checked for on-label messaging. Hyperbound is built for B2B sales teams: practice against AI buyers first, then real-call scoring, deal coaching and a voice debrief on live deals.

Ratings comparisons say little about what either product does. This piece quotes both vendors from their own sites, read on 31 October 2026. For the wider field, see sales tools compared by the job they do.

Who each one is built for

Quantified calls itself "the #1 platform for life sciences and regulated industries" and says it is "trusted by the world's largest pharmaceutical companies". Its personas are "HCPs by specialty, payers, and formulary committees", its authoring tool turns "MLR-approved materials into scenarios and rubrics in days", and "Compliance AI checks every response against on-label messaging. Off-label language is flagged". Its industry list also names financial services, insurance and medical devices.

Hyperbound's home page says "Know your buyers. Guide every seller." and talks about cold calls, discovery, objections and demos. Its industry pages cover B2B SaaS, sales training agencies, call centers, banking and financial advisors, and transportation and logistics. The pricing page splits the product into Practice, for roleplay and custom scorecards, and Perform, which adds "Real Call Scoring", "Deal Coaching", "CRM Intelligence" and "Conversation Intelligence".

Read across the rows and the same split shows up. Quantified puts compliance and certification in front, and Hyperbound puts the deal there.

Where Quantified fits better

Quantified fits a field force that sells under regulatory review, where an off-label sentence in practice is a problem in the field. Its platform page describes "one shared content library, one scoring model, and every capability feeds the next", with MLR review "as a structured step in the workflow". Reps "certify on demonstrated behavior, scored against your own criteria and exemplars, with an audit-ready record".

It also gives managers coverage a ride-along cannot. Field Coaching promises "coverage for every rep on the team, not just the one or two they can shadow each week", with "recommended coaching actions tied to specific rep or team gaps" and "pre-built conversation prompts for the next coaching 1:1". Quantified builds scenarios and rubrics with the customer, and says support is "included in every AI Roleplay program".

Where Hyperbound fits better

Hyperbound fits a B2B sales team that wants to start fast and grow into deal work. It offers a free tier with "45 prebuilt AI roleplays", and says a first bot and scorecard take "less than 10 minutes". Reps can "spin up a bot from any prospect's LinkedIn profile in one click", "simulate real buying committees with multiple stakeholders" and practice a demo "with AI that understands what's on your screen".

Its Perform plan reaches into live deals. Deal Coaching aims to "surface coaching opportunities directly within active deals", Live Call Coaching is "a quiet panel beside the meeting", and Bite-Sized Roleplays are generated "based on real deal signals". On 3 September 2026 Hyperbound added the Deal Debrief Agent in private preview, "a live voice conversation about one specific deal" that "already knows the emails and notes on that deal" and can draft the follow-up and update the CRM.

How each reaches the field

Both vendors have moved from practice toward the real conversation. Quantified's Field AI covers "pre-call prep, post-call debriefs, and ongoing reinforcement", and its platform page says "the same persona can play the physician your reps prepare for, then coach them after the call". Hyperbound's route runs through recorded calls and the CRM: score the call, find the gap, generate a short roleplay, debrief the deal.

They check the rep against different things. Quantified checks the rep against approved messaging and certification standards. Hyperbound checks the call against a scorecard and the deal against its record, and its Kota analytics track "methodology adherence". Neither names a methodology partner behind the coaching.

Two roleplay tests to run in the demo

AI buyers can be too agreeable. A persona that warms up whatever the rep says teaches reps that a weak pitch works. Run two tests on each product before the trial starts.

The off-script test. Partway through a roleplay, change direction: ask a question the scenario did not plan for, mention a competitor, or say the budget moved to next year. A good persona responds the way that buyer would. A weak one drifts back to its script.

The bad-pitch test. Have a strong rep deliberately run a poor call: talk features, skip the questions, ask for the order early. The persona should resist, and the score should drop. If the persona agrees to a next step anyway, or the score barely moves, the practice is rewarding the wrong behavior.

For a life sciences team, add a third: have the rep make an off-label claim and check that Quantified's compliance check flags it. For a B2B team on Hyperbound, build a persona from a real prospect's LinkedIn profile and check whether it raises the objections that buyer would raise.

What makes a sales roleplay feel real

Realism in sales roleplay has a few separate parts, and a demo usually shows off one of them. Check each on its own.

  • The medium. Voice only, video, or a shared screen. A field rep detailing a physician and an AE running a software demo need different settings, so practice should happen in the one the real conversation uses.
  • The conversation. How fast the persona answers, whether it can be interrupted, and whether it remembers what the rep said three turns ago.
  • The situation. Whether the persona knows the context a real buyer would: the product on screen, the approved claims, the competitor already in the account.
  • The source. Where the scenario comes from. Quantified builds from approved materials. Hyperbound builds from your ICP, your messaging or a prospect's profile. Ask who maintains a scenario when the product or the message changes.

Score each part on the scenario your reps face next, and run the off-script and bad-pitch tests above on top. A persona that looks real and gives in to a bad pitch is worse than a plainer one that pushes back.

If neither fits: other sales roleplay tools

Some teams finish this comparison needing a different shape of tool. Second Nature, for example, describes roleplay over video calls, slide presentations and screen-share demos on its own site. Our Hyperbound alternatives page sorts the wider field by the job each tool does. Whichever you shortlist, run the same scenario and the same two tests on every product, and let your managers' scores decide.

A two-week pilot plan

Before day one. Pick the scenario reps will face next month, such as a new product launch for a field team or a discovery call with a new segment for a B2B team. Write the rubric in your own words, with three to five behaviors a listener can observe.

Checking the scores in the pilot
  • Two managers or trainers rank ten calls or sessions
  • The product ranks the same ten
  • Compare the order
  • Set the bar against your own markers

Week one. Six reps run the scenario at least three times each. Two managers or trainers score a sample of sessions blind, before seeing the product's scores.

Week two. Compare the product's ranking of the sessions with the managers'. Do not expect a perfect match: in our call-scoring research, trained human experts disagreed with each other on 18% of scores. Then check transfer: listen to two real calls per rep, or ride along, and see whether the practiced behavior shows up.

At the end. Ask the reps whether they would practice without being told to, and the managers whether the reports changed what they coached. Hold both answers against the rubric you wrote before day one.

Comparing the full cost

Neither vendor publishes prices, so the quote is the comparison. Ask both for the same breakdown: rep seats, manager or admin seats, scenario and rubric authoring, onboarding and training, integrations with your CRM and call recorder, support, and any limits on sessions, minutes or avatar types. Quantified says practice is not metered; ask Hyperbound how Practice and Perform are licensed for your team size. Separate one-time fees from recurring ones, and price only the features that are generally available on the day you sign.

B2B deals between calls

For B2B teams, the problem under most of this is manager time: deals stall between calls because no one works them with the rep. Our AI sales experts do that job on the rep's real deals, so read this section knowing who wrote it.

The rep brings the live deal to the expert on a call, the way they would bring it to a manager, and types only when they cannot talk. The expert runs the team's own method: MEDDPICC or the team's own playbook with Caty, Gap Selling with Keenan (built with A Sales Growth Company), or the ValueSelling Framework® with Val (built with ValueSelling Associates). It asks for the buyer's evidence that method needs, and plans the next conversation with the rep. The expert also builds a roleplay of the stakeholder the rep is about to meet, from what is on the deal, and debriefs it afterward.

It remembers every deal. Managers get a read across the team from Bryce. Our side-by-sides are with Quantified and Hyperbound.

FAQ

Is Quantified only for pharma? Quantified is built around life sciences, and its home page leads with pharmaceutical customers, HCP personas and on-label compliance scoring. Its site also lists financial services, insurance, medical devices and global enterprises. A non-regulated B2B team can use it, but most of what sets it apart is the regulated workflow.

Does Hyperbound work for life sciences? Hyperbound's pages read on 31 October 2026 list B2B SaaS, sales training agencies, call centers and banking and financial advisors as its industries, and do not describe MLR review or on-label compliance checks. A life sciences team that needs those should ask Hyperbound to demonstrate them in a trial.

How is Quantified priced? Quantified quotes one all-inclusive price scoped to your field force and the capabilities you need. Its pricing page says practice is not metered by sessions, minutes or avatar type, with no overage charges, and that support is included. It publishes no figures.

How is Hyperbound priced? Hyperbound has a free tier with 45 prebuilt AI roleplays and example scorecards. Its Practice and Perform plans are sold after a demo, and its pricing page lists features without prices. Real Call Scoring, Deal Coaching and Conversation Intelligence sit on Perform.

Which has better AI roleplay, Quantified or Hyperbound? Neither has better AI roleplay across the board, because Quantified and Hyperbound are built for different conversations. Quantified's personas are physicians, payers and formulary committees, scored against approved messaging. Hyperbound's are B2B buyers and buying committees, built from your ICP or a LinkedIn profile, with demo practice that sees your screen. Test each on a scenario your reps face next week.

Can a team use Quantified and Hyperbound together? A company with both a regulated field force and a B2B sales team could run Quantified for the field and Hyperbound for B2B, since each is built for a different conversation. Running both for the same reps would mean two persona libraries, two rubrics and two sets of reports, so most teams pick the one that matches the conversation their reps have most.
