Attention alternatives, sorted by why sales teams switch

Attention alternatives sorted by why teams switch: deeper call analytics, a forecast, a lighter recorder, practice and call scoring, or a coach on the deal.

The right Attention alternative depends on what you want the tool to do that it does not do for you now. Teams that want deeper call analytics look at Gong, teams that want the forecast in the same system look at Clari + Salesloft, teams that want a lighter recorder look at Avoma, Fathom or Fireflies, teams that want practice and call scoring look at Hyperbound, and teams that want the rep coached on the live deal look at AI deal coaching.

This page is about Attention, the sales platform at attention.com, and has nothing to do with the attention mechanism in machine learning. For the whole market by category, see our guide to sales tools compared by the job they do.

What Attention does today

Attention records sales conversations and runs AI agents on what it hears. Its home page opens with "AI agents that work your pipeline while you sell" and promises "the next move on every deal, drafted and done. You approve. Attention executes".

The examples on that page are concrete: a follow-up "drafted from the call, in the rep's voice", outreach drafted to other people in the buying group, a "nudge strategy" for stalled deals. "Pricing discussed at 1:00pm becomes a proposal draft by 1:02pm". Teams can describe their own plays in plain language and Attention builds the agent, with "200+ integrations", botless recording in "100+ languages", and an MCP server that gives Claude, ChatGPT and other assistants "70+ read and write tools" over calls and deals.

Some alternatives pages have not caught up. Hyperbound's Attention page says Attention "analyzes calls and surfaces insights". Attention's own page today describes a tool that does a good share of the follow-up work too.

Why teams look for an Attention alternative

Teams that leave Attention usually want one of five things, and each points to a different kind of tool.

  • Deeper analytics: a long-established conversation intelligence platform with years of call data and a wide app set.
  • The forecast and cadences under one contract. Attention's home page does offer forecasting "from what buyers said, not just what reps typed"; teams that also want the cadence engine in the same system look further.
  • A lighter recorder. Some teams only need notes and summaries, and agents are more than they asked for.
  • Practice and call scoring. Some teams want reps rehearsing before the call more than they want follow-ups drafted after it.
  • A coached rep. A drafted follow-up does the task. It does not teach the rep why the buyer stalled or what to ask next. A rep who never learns that will need the agent again on the next deal, and the one after.

The fifth reason is the one most lists skip. There are never enough good managers to coach every rep on every deal, and automation of the follow-up does not change that. We wrote about why our experts coach the rep as well as drafting the follow-up.

Attention and Replicate Labs, decision by decision

Attention's column comes from its own pages. Ours comes from our site.

The decision Attention Replicate Labs
What it coaches The deal's next task, drafted for approval; call scorecards sent to your systems The rep, on the deal: what the buyer said, what is missing, the next move
Where it works Recorded meetings and the agents that act on them The live pipeline, before and after each call
How the rep works with it Approves what the agent drafted Talks the deal through with an AI sales expert on a call; types when they cannot talk
Method support Your own plays, described in plain language The team's own method runs natively: Gap Selling, the ValueSelling Framework®, MEDDPICC or a house method
Manager view Deal alerts in Slack; ask the Super Agent about any deal Bryce, the manager's coach, gives a Monday team read (which deals need attention this week, which carry buyer evidence) and coaches the 1:1 and the forecast
Drafted work Follow-ups, proposals, decks Follow-ups, leave-behinds and proposals, checked against the method before they send

We do the commodity layer too: our experts score calls against your scorecard and draft the follow-up from the call. On top of that, the rep's main way in is a conversation about the live deal, and the expert checks the deal against the method before it answers. Our side-by-side page is Replicate Labs vs Attention.

Attention alternatives by the reason to switch

For deeper conversation analytics: Gong

Gong describes itself as a "Revenue AI OS" and says it will "capture every interaction, analyze what's working, and automate what happens next". Pick it when analytics depth across a large team matters most. Our page on Attention vs Gong compares the two directly.

For the forecast in one system: Clari + Salesloft

Clari and Salesloft completed their merger on 3 December 2025 and describe the combined company as building "the first Predictive Revenue System". Salesloft's home page says it "captures every revenue signal across your stack" and turns those signals into the next move. Pick it when the forecast and the cadence engine belong in the same contract.

For notes and summaries: Avoma, Fathom or Fireflies

Avoma's home page offers AI "to automate note-taking, scheduling, coaching, forecasting, and more". Fathom leads with "AI notetaking" and meeting summaries. Fireflies says it will "transcribe, summarize, search, and analyze all your team conversations". Pick one of these when the job is a reliable record of each meeting. Our Avoma alternatives page sorts that segment further.

For practice and call scoring: Hyperbound

Hyperbound tells reps to "practice with realistic AI buyers, uncover what works in real calls, and get guidance during conversations and across deals". Its Attention page says it is built to sit alongside a call recorder. Pick it when the team wants practice assigned from call scores. Our Hyperbound alternatives page covers that segment.

For the rep coached on the live deal: Replicate Labs

This is our category, so weigh the paragraph accordingly. Replicate Labs builds AI sales experts that diagnose deals, coach your people, do the work and report on it, in your method. A deal review is a call. The rep brings the deal to Caty, to Keenan on a Gap Selling team, or to Val on a ValueSelling Framework® team, and the expert asks for the buyer's evidence, names what the team's method says is missing, and gives one move for the next conversation. It opens the next session with that move. Pick it when deals stall between calls because nobody works them with the rep.

One deal, two tools (illustrative)

The rep, buyer and numbers below are invented.

Lena's coaching call
  1. 01Who signs?Lena thinks the CFO
  2. 02Has the CFO heard a number?No
  3. 03Who said what the problem costs?Nobody
  4. 04The move for TuesdayAsk what late-shipment penalties cost last quarter
Illustrative example.

Lena sells logistics software. Her $90,000 deal with a regional distributor stalled after a good demo. Attention's agent sees the silence and drafts a nudge email to the operations director for her to approve. It reads well. She sends it, and nothing comes back.

On a call with Caty, Lena says the operations director loved the demo. The coach asks who signs. Lena thinks the CFO. Has the CFO heard a number? No. Who said the problem costs money, and how much? Nobody. The move for Tuesday: ask the operations director what the late-shipment penalties cost last quarter, and whether he will walk the CFO through that figure with her. Caty logs it, and when Lena comes back she asks for the figure first.

Run the trial on Lena's kind of deal

Test each Attention alternative on your own calls and deals, with pass lines written before the trial. Have two managers rank ten recorded calls, then ask each tool to score them and see how far its order agrees with theirs. Then score one call twice and count the scores that move: in our call-scoring study, a single model on its own moved 15% to 17% of them between identical runs. The full checklist is in how to evaluate AI sales coaching software, the category is explained in the AI sales coaching guide, and our ranked list is at best AI sales coaching software.

Lena's agent wrote a good email to an operations director who had no figure to take to the CFO, because nobody had put a cost on the problem. Pick your own stalled deal, one where the follow-ups went out and nothing came back, and talk to us about it before you choose a tool.

FAQ

What are the best alternatives to Attention for sales teams? The best Attention alternative depends on the gap. Gong suits teams that want deeper conversation analytics, Clari + Salesloft suits teams that want the forecast and cadences in one system, Avoma, Fathom and Fireflies suit teams that mainly want meeting notes, Hyperbound suits practice assigned from call scores, and Replicate Labs suits teams that want reps coached on live deals.

Is Gong better than Attention? Gong's home page leads with capturing every interaction and analyzing what is working across the revenue team. Attention's home page leads with agents that draft and send the next move on a deal for the rep to approve. The better fit depends on whether your team needs analysis across the org or automation of follow-up work.

Does Attention coach sales reps? Attention drafts the next move on a deal and sends scorecards to your systems, according to its home page. That handles the task for the rep. Coaching the rep means asking what the buyer said, naming what is missing and agreeing the next question, which is what a deal coach does on a call before the next conversation.

Can I use Attention and a deal coach together? Yes. Attention can keep recording meetings and drafting follow-ups while a deal coach works the open deals with each rep. The two do different jobs: one completes the task after a call, the other prepares the rep for the next one.

What does Attention's MCP server do? Attention's home page says its MCP server gives Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other MCP-compatible assistants access to your calls, deals, sellers and workflows, with 70+ read and write tools and granular permissions. That lets a rep or manager query revenue data from the assistant they already use.
