Exec is an AI training platform for customer-facing teams: AI roleplays, call scoring, a learning platform with courses and certification, and live 1:1 coaching from human coaches. Replicate Labs builds AI sales experts that work the rep's live deals with them on a call, in the team's own method.
Readiness for a conversation, or help with this one
Exec gets people ready for a kind of conversation, and it does that across a whole company: sales, service, support, managers and executives. Replicate Labs works the conversation a rep has this week with a named buyer on a real deal. We run roleplay, call scoring and courses in your method as well. What we add on top is an expert that knows the deal and a manager coach, Bryce, who reads the whole team's pipeline.
Exec publishes comparisons with other training tools, but none with us, so this page describes both products from their own sites, read on 31 October 2026. For the wider market, see AI sales tools compared by the job they do.
What Exec says it does
Exec's home page offers "AI-native training for high-stakes conversations" and says it will "turn calls and playbooks into personalized practice" and "certify your sales, service, and support teams are ready for the moments that matter". It describes its roleplay as "like a flight simulator for conversations", where reps and managers rehearse "anytime, without real-world consequences".
The platform is modular: AI Roleplays, Call Scoring, a Learning Platform (programs, courses, a knowledge hub) and Coaching, which Exec describes as "live 1:1 executive and sales manager coaching at scale, with vetted coaches". Call scoring "connects to your call recorder" and scores calls "against your custom rubrics". Exec now also runs inside "your favorite LLM" through an MCP.
Its comparison page adds two strengths it leads with. Exec "creates custom scenarios in 90 seconds from a simple prompt", and reps can share their screen while the AI "simultaneously evaluates demonstration navigation, visual clarity, and response quality".
Exec publishes prices. There is a free plan; Starter is $20 per seat a month and Professional $39, both billed annually, with 5 and 15 seat minimums; Enterprise is custom. Roleplay sessions are capped at 5 per user a year on Free and 10 per user a month on Starter, and unlimited above that.
What Replicate Labs adds after training
Replicate Labs takes the team's buyers, method and scorecard once, set up with the methodology partner, and from then on the experts work the live deal, judge the email and read the week. A deal review is a call: the rep opens it, the expert comes up on camera, and they talk the deal through the way the rep would with a manager who had unlimited time and had read everything. Typing is for when the rep cannot talk.
- 01Find the gapWhat the buyer said against what the rep concluded
- 02The words for the next call
- 03The agenda for the session after
A session finds the gap between what the buyer said and what the rep concluded, gives the rep the words for the next call, and sets the agenda for the session after. If a recorder is connected, the rep points the coach at the call itself. The coach carries the deal from one session to the next.
The training layer is there too. Roleplay runs against buyers built from the team's own personas, every round and every live call is scored against the team's scorecard, and courses run in the team's method with the coach checking the work. Keenan runs Gap Selling, Val runs the ValueSelling Framework®, and Caty runs MEDDPICC or the method the team wrote itself. The same coach is available in Claude, ChatGPT and Slack under the seat. For managers, Bryce preps the 1:1 with one strength, one gap and one drill, each tied to a moment on a call, and reads which commit deals carry the buyer's number.

One competitive deal, both ways (illustrative)
The company, deal and people are invented to show the shape.
A rival cut its price by 20% last week. A rep has a $75,000 deal where the buyer mentioned that rival on Tuesday.
In Exec, the enablement lead describes the new objection and a scenario is ready in minutes. The rep runs it three times against a skeptical AI buyer, shares the screen for the pricing slide, and passes the certification gate by Friday. The whole team is now ready for the rival's price.
In Replicate Labs, the rep opens a call with Caty before the next meeting. She asks what the buyer said about the rival, word for word. The rep remembers "they're cheaper". Caty points out that the buyer never said what the cheaper option fails to do, and that the cost of the current problem was never sized, so price is the only number in the room.
The move: one question that gets the buyer to put a figure on the problem, asked before any discussion of discount. If the rep wants a run at it, Caty builds a short roleplay from this deal and debriefs it. After the meeting she drafts the follow-up from what the buyer said.
Both prepare the rep for the rival. Only one of them has heard what this buyer said about it.
Testing a training platform against a deal coach
The fair test runs both on the same material. Score ten recorded calls with the same rubric in each and have two managers rank them too; the tool that orders the calls like your managers is the one to trust. Our call-scoring research found that average error can make a lazy scorer look good, while ranking agreement holds up. Then build one scenario from a real objection in each and see which one your reps would rehearse.
Last, take one live deal to each and ask the rep whether they would act on what came back. The full checklist is in how to evaluate AI sales coaching software. For Exec against another training platform, read Exec vs Yoodli.
Company-wide readiness or deals that stall
Exec fits a company that wants one training platform for every high-stakes conversation, from sales calls to leadership development, with published seat prices, fast scenario building and human coaches for leaders. That breadth is the reason to buy it.
Replicate Labs fits a sales team where the training has landed and the deals still stall, because no manager has time to work every deal with every rep. Performance drift, the gap between what a rep learned and what they do on a call three weeks later, closes on the live deal. The category is laid out in the AI sales coaching guide, and the ranked list is at best AI sales coaching software.
The rival's price cut is the kind of moment that separates the two: a scenario for the team, or a question for this buyer. To see the second on one of your competitive deals, talk to us.

It describes its roleplay as a flight simulator for conversations.
How much does Exec cost? What is the difference between Exec and Replicate Labs? Exec prepares people for a type of conversation through practice, courses and certification. Replicate Labs coaches the rep on a specific live deal, on a call, in the team's method, and gives managers a read across the pipeline. Both run roleplay and score calls against your rubric.
Can Exec and Replicate Labs run together? Yes. A company can keep Exec for onboarding, certification and training outside sales, and use Replicate Labs for coaching on live deals. Replicate Labs reads calls from a connected recorder (its FAQ lists Gong, Fathom, Fireflies and Salesloft) or from what the rep brings, so neither tool replaces the other.
Does Replicate Labs do roleplay like Exec? Yes. Roleplay runs against buyers built from the team's own personas and is scored on the team's scorecard. It is one part of the platform; the center is the coach working each live deal with the rep, and the manager coach reading the team.
